The founders of Centrifuge came out of the United States Intelligence Community (IC) where Analysts are charged with identifying relationships, patterns and gaps in the most demanding analytical applications in the world.

The volume and velocity of incoming data creates enormous analytical challenges today.  Big data seems to be getting bigger by the second.  Users are drowning in data with no end in sight.  The proliferation of public and private data, enterprise and departmental databases and text information has created analytic challenges that most organizations cannot handle.  Today, the growth in social networking and cloud computing have magnified the problem.  So how do organizations make sense of the chaos?  How do they decipher, detect and discover the meaning when there’s so much noise?

This problem became the motivation to create Centrifuge over 10 years ago.  We realized that to solve the big data problem in a lightweight architecture, we needed to take a very different approach to data analysis.  Using proven techniques, we created Visual Networks Analytics (VNA).

VNA allows anyone to connect data sources without heavy lifting or complex programming through agile data integration.  The powerful combination of relationship mapping and interactive visual analytics, provides users with an easy way to profile data using charts, time lines, tables, maps and relationship graphs.  This highly interactive approach shows connections between people, places, events, addresses, and any data at all.  VNA is the only technology that can do this using a thin client that can be embedded in your solution or used on its own.

Today, Centrifuge Visual Network Analytics is used in some of the most demanding applications in the world, including counter-terrorism, homeland defense, retail theft, insurance claims fraud and financial crimes analysis.
